Procedure for Orchid Propagation:
Selecting the Branch: Identify a branch on the orchid without flowers or buds. Cut it from the rest of the plant and trim the ends until you expose the bright green interior, where the new orchid will grow.
Prevent Rotting: Peel a garlic clove and use it to massage the cut ends of the branch. This prevents mold or fungi formation and protects the branch from rot.
Sealing the Ends: Light a candle and use the flowing wax to seal the ends of the branch. This sealing technique helps prevent water loss from the branch.
Banana Solution: Peel a small banana, place both the fruit and peels in a blender, and add a liter of water. Blend the mixture thoroughly. Strain the liquid into a jar, creating an activator for the orchid twig.
Activating the Branch: Immerse the branch in the banana solution for at least 20 minutes in a sealed container. This liquid activates the twig for propagation.
Cinnamon Disinfectant: In another container, mix a teaspoon of cinnamon with a liter of boiling water. After cooling, strain the mixture. This water and cinnamon blend serves as a disinfectant for the moss.
