Store fresh fruit for an extended period without a refrigerator using this simple method!
In a few easy steps, you can preserve fruit for an entire year without the need for a refrigerator. The key is to seal and store various fruits in a glass jar, keeping them in optimal condition.
It’s important to note that once the fruits are arranged in the jars, they should be stored in a location with a temperature not exceeding 18 degrees Celsius and in a dry environment. Additionally, the preserved fruit should be consumed within a few days after opening the jar.
Follow these initial steps to successfully preserve fruit in glass jars:
- Obtain a glass jar with a capacity of one and a half liters.
- Bring a pot of water to a boil on the stove.
While the water is boiling, remove the stems and leaves from the fruits to be preserved. Wash and rinse the fruit thoroughly (at least 3 or 4 times) and ensure it is properly dried.

- Place the prepared fruit into the glass jars and pour the hot water over them.
- After filling the jars to the brim, let them sit for 10 minutes. It’s important to place the jar lids on without sealing them during this time.
After the allotted time, pour the water from the jars into a saucepan and bring it to a boil once again.
- Add two tablespoons of sugar to the fruit and then pour the boiling water back into the jars.
- Seal the glass jars hermetically, leaving a small gap at the edge of each jar.
- Wrap the glass jars in two towels and set them aside.
Now, let them cool at room temperature for 24 hours. After this process, you’ll successfully preserve the fruit for up to 12 months.
